Forms: your messages in one place
What people send from your site's forms lands in an inbox in your project and in your email, with nothing to set up.
Once your site is published, every form sends its messages to Forms, an inbox inside your project. We also email you about each one. It works on editable sites and on Made by Cortex sites.
Where do I connect my form?
Nowhere: there are no keys or accounts to create. Publish your site and its forms connect by themselves. Nothing is stored from the Studio preview, so test it on your published site.
Where to find it
In the project header, the Forms tab. A number next to it tells you how many messages you haven't read. In your projects list, the cards also flag new messages.
Your site doesn't have a form yet? Ask Cortex: "add a contact form".
Reading and replying
Messages are sorted by day into four folders: Inbox, Replied, Archived and Spam. If your site has several forms, filter by Form or use Search messages.
When you open a message you can:
- Reply by email: opens your email with the reply ready and marks the message as replied.
- Call or message on WhatsApp, if the person left a phone number.
- Archive, Mark as unread or Delete.
- Spam or Not spam.
Keyboard shortcuts: j / k to move, e to archive, r to reply and / to search.
Spam
Berse sets aside messages that look like spam, such as those with several links. It doesn't email you about them and deletes them after 30 days. If one is real, press Not spam and it goes back to the inbox.
Email alerts
Press Email alerts to decide:
- Who gets the alerts. If you don't pick anyone, the project owner gets them.
- Each form's Form name, and whether you want an alert for it.
We email you about each message, up to 50 a day. When you reply to the alert, you're answering the person who wrote.
Who can read them
The owner and anyone who can edit the project read the messages. People who can only view the project see how many there are, but not what they say, because it's the senders' personal data.
Depends on your plan
| Free | Paid plans | |
|---|---|---|
| Receive and store messages | Yes | Yes |
| Messages you see | The last 30 days | All of them |
| Download messages as CSV | No | Yes |
Messages are kept for 12 months on every plan. On Free, the ones older than 30 days are still stored: when you upgrade, you see them all.
