Ready to launch

Check what your editable site still needs before and after it goes live, and fix it one item at a time.

The launch checklist tells you what your site is missing and how to fix it, essentials first. Use it before you publish, and come back to it whenever you want to polish the details.

Editable sites only

The checklist exists for editable sites. On a Made by Cortex site, ask Cortex in the chat to check whatever worries you.

Where to find it

You can open it in two ways:

  • In the project header, the Launch tab.
  • In Studio, the Ready to launch panel in the left bar. It shows how many essentials are left and updates as you edit.

How to read it

At the top you see your progress, for example "3 of 5 essentials". Right below, Up next shows the first open item with its button, so you know what to do now.

Items are grouped into Online, Content, Google and social, Accessibility and What your site does. Items tagged Recommended aren't required, but they make your site better.

How to fix each item

Every item has its own button: it takes you to the exact spot, opens SEO, publishes, or creates what's missing. Some items have Fix with Cortex, which prepares a proposal for you to review before it's applied.

In the Studio panel, items with specific cases list them one by one:

  • Show selects the element on the canvas, even if it's on another page.
  • Fix here lets you type the right text or link. It applies like any edit and can be undone.
  • Cortex selects the element and writes the instruction into the Cortex bar. Review it and send it.

The privacy page

If your site collects data, Create template asks Cortex for a privacy page in your site's style. It's a template: every section is marked for you to review with a professional. It isn't legal advice.
