Getting started
Editable site or Made by Cortex
The two ways to create your site in Berse, how they differ and which one suits you.
When you create a project you choose between two kinds of site. Both publish, receive forms and have Pulse. What changes is how you edit them.
You choose once
The kind of site is chosen when you create it and can't be changed later. If you pick the wrong one, create another project.
In short
- Editable site: you edit it yourself on a visual canvas, piece by piece, like a document. You can also ask Cortex for changes.
- Made by Cortex: Cortex codes it to measure and you change it by talking to it in a chat, while you watch your site live. It's in beta.
Comparison

Which one should I choose?
- Choose the editable site if you want to click and change the text yourself, or if you'll take payments with Stripe from Berse.
- Choose Made by Cortex if you want something more custom and you'd rather describe what you want in words.
A new Made by Cortex site uses more credits than an editable one, because Cortex works on it for longer. When you choose it, Berse tells you roughly how many credits it uses.
