Live preview
Try your site actually running before you publish it, and understand how its hours are counted.
The live preview is your site actually running, inside Studio. Links go to their pages, and every change you save shows up right away.
Opening it
In the Studio header, press Preview. The first time, it can take up to half a minute to start. You'll see a loading screen while it gets ready.
You can change the screen size at the top to see it on Desktop, Tablet or Mobile.
It sleeps when you're not using it
After 45 seconds without use, the preview goes to sleep. Your page stays on screen and you can keep scrolling.
As soon as you need it again, for example when you press a link, it wakes up by itself in under a second. Going back to a page you already saw doesn't wake it.
Included hours
Only the time the preview is awake counts. Reading your page, or working in Design or Code, doesn't use hours.
Depends on your plan
| Plan | Active time included | Daily maximum |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 15 min a day | — |
| Hobby | 10 h a month | 2 h |
| Starter | 20 h a month | 3 h |
| Pro | 40 h a month | 5 h |
| Business | 80 h a month | 8 h |
On Free, your email must be confirmed.
If you reach the limit
The preview pauses and you'll see "You've used today's free preview" or "You've used this month's preview hours". Your site stays intact, and Design, Code and Cortex keep working.
Whoever manages the space can press Keep watching it live. From then on, each active hour uses about 250 credits. Nothing is charged until you press that button.
If you collaborate on someone else's project, you'll see that you need to ask whoever manages that space.
Errors on the page
If a page fails while you try it, a card appears with Fix with Cortex. See Fix with Cortex.
Forms don't store anything here
In the preview, whatever you send from a form doesn't go anywhere. Try it on your published site: there every message reaches Forms. See Forms.
View-only people can use it too
People with the Can view role can also open the preview. Their time counts against the hours of the space that owns the project.
